Singapore and the Philippines have signed an Implementation Memorandum on the Singapore-Philippines Nurse Educator Scholarship Scheme, according to a Singapore Ministry of Health (MOH) release dated 19 October 2026. The signing was witnessed by Singapore Minister for Health and Coordinating Minister for Social Policies Ong Ye Kung and DMW Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac.
Under the memorandum, the MOH said, Singapore and the Philippines will enhance cooperation in healthcare human resource development through a scholarship scheme to train experienced Philippine nurses working in the Singapore public healthcare system to become nurse educators.
