Australian mining technology companies head to Manila for Austrade and Austmine trade mission

By Kislap Editorial ·

Australian mining equipment, technology and services companies will take part in the Mission to Mining Philippines from 26 to 29 October, a trade mission led by Austrade and Austmine and based at Conrad Manila in Pasay City.

Australian mining technology and services companies will travel to the Philippines for the Mission to Mining Philippines 2026, a trade mission running from 26 to 29 October, The Philippine Times reported. The program will be based at Conrad Manila in Pasay City.

Led by the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) and mining industry organisation Austmine, the mission brings together Australian Mining, Equipment, Technology and Services (METS) companies seeking to expand into the Philippines and Southeast Asia. Austrade says the event is powered by the Accessing New Markets Initiative (ANMI).

Austrade describes the Philippines as one of Southeast Asia's fastest-growing mining markets, with abundant nickel, copper and gold resources. It says Australian companies can meet demand for advanced mining technologies that improve productivity, safety and sustainability, and can support ESG priorities through expertise in environmental management, water, tailings and mine rehabilitation.

The program includes presenting capabilities directly to major mining companies and decision-makers, Meet the Miner networking sessions, tailored B2B matching with potential partners and distributors, expert briefings and readiness workshops, and attendance at Mining Philippines. The Philippine Times noted that the two countries are celebrating 80 years of diplomatic relations in 2026. Expressions of interest for the mission have closed.
