The Young Generation Senior Citizens of the Southeast, popularly known as YG, held a joint celebration on 3 October at the Village Green in Mulgrave, marking 28 years of community service and 80 years of Philippine-Australian friendship and diplomatic relations, The Philippine Times reported.

YG President Norma Patrizi welcomed guests including Consul-General Jesus 'Gary' Domingo, former Casey Mayor Stefan Koomen, now a Labor candidate for Narre Warren South, former Casey Councillor Damien Rosario, Councillor Jennifer Dizon and Australian Filipino Community Services (AFCS) CEO Corina Dutlow.
