The event is organised by EventiQa and ESE and powered by VivaNation. According to the Qatar Tribune, it aims to give overseas Filipino workers an opportunity to unwind, take a break from their daily routines and connect with fellow Filipinos through humour.

Who is performing

Calleja is a stand-up comedian, comedy writer, actor and director known for turning everyday Filipino experiences into relatable humour, and he gained wider recognition with his Netflix stand-up special Tamang Panahon, released in February 2025. Qatar Living's event listing names Rex Millora, Israel Buenaobra and Yuki Horikoshi among the comedians joining him.

The Qatar Tribune described Millora as combining quirky one-liners with humour drawn from his experiences as an accountant and father, and said Baguio-based Buenaobra has written for sitcoms and gag shows aired on major Philippine television networks. Horikoshi is a Japanese comedian born in Saitama who trained under Yoshimoto before moving to the Philippines, and adapts his comedy to local language and humour. The line-up also includes a comedian known as the Pride of Cebu, who brings his Ethiopian-Filipino heritage into his comedy.

Tickets

Tickets are priced at QR200 each and are sold online through Platinumlist and at Lamesita Restaurant in Al Nasr, the Qatar Tribune reported. Platinumlist members can get a 10% discount, subject to terms and conditions.

For Filipinos living away from home, the Qatar Tribune wrote, the show promises an opportunity to relax, reconnect with fellow kababayans and share an evening of laughter.
