Cebu-based technology entrepreneur Sean Raynon has introduced LaundromatAI, an innovative AI-powered point-of-sale (POS) platform designed to modernize laundry shop operations. The software targets businesses still relying on manual tracking, paper tickets, and outdated systems, aiming to streamline processes and enhance efficiency across the Philippines and eventually, overseas markets. Raynon, with two decades of experience in systems architecture and digital strategy, developed LaundromatAI to simplify daily challenges faced by laundry operators.

The LaundromatAI platform integrates a suite of advanced features, including AI-controlled POS functions, automated staff workflows, machine status tracking, customer notifications, and digital ticketing. Crucially for businesses in the Philippines, it supports Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) compliance features and integrates with popular digital payment options such as GCash and Maya. This integration aligns with a broader trend of increased e-wallet usage among local businesses, including sari-sari stores, which saw usage jump by 75% in 2025, according to a survey by Packworks.

Raynon emphasized that the broader goal is to make AI-driven tools accessible to small and medium-sized businesses, asserting that AI should empower the enterprises that form the backbone of communities.
