Eight Filipino airsoft clubs in the UAE send one Philippine squad to World Airsoft Games 2.0

By Kislap Editorial ·

Eight Filipino airsoft players from eight different UAE clubs will compete as one Philippine Tactical Team under UFAC at World Airsoft Games 2.0 in Al Ain on January 12 to 17, 2027, aiming for a top-five finish.

Eight Filipino airsoft players in the United Arab Emirates, each from a different club, will compete together as the Philippine Tactical Team at World Airsoft Games 2.0, The Global Filipino Magazine reported on November 2, 2026. The team will play under UFAC, the umbrella group bringing the clubs together, which the magazine said is recognized by the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai.

The tournament is set for January 12 to 17, 2027, in Al Ain, in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, and is organized by the UAE Airsoft Federation. The official World Airsoft Games site bills it as the biggest airsoft competition in the world and lists a total prize pool of AED 1,000,000 (about US$272,000), split across its Speedsoft and Tactical Airsoft divisions.

One player from each of eight clubs

No two players come from the same club. The lineup draws from Level Zero Raiders, FRAG, Desert Dogs (DDS), ARMAS, DRAG, PARAK, PSAF and MASA, and the magazine said the target is a place in the top five.

Janry calls representing the Philippines both an honor and a responsibility, according to the magazine, which said his job is to bring players from rival clubs together under one plan.

Building on March

The first World Airsoft Games ran from March 24 to 28, 2026, at the twofour54 backlot in Al Samha and drew 60 teams from more than 20 countries. Filipino players in the UAE left that edition with two top-10 finishes in Tactical Airsoft: eighth place for UFAC and tenth for Level Zero Raiders.

At the first edition, Level Zero Raiders entered as a UAE representative rather than a Philippine one, which the magazine said reflected its roots in the Emirates' Filipino expatriate community. This time the eight players are taking the field as a Philippine side.

The squad's own statement sums up its approach:

"We may come from different teams, but we stand under one flag. We are eight players, united by one mission, representing one nation: the Philippines."
