2026 Directory Verifies 52 Filipino Community Groups in Singapore

By Kislap Editorial ·

A newly published 2026 directory has verified 52 Filipino associations and community groups in Singapore, from the Philippine Bayanihan Society to professional engineering chapters and helper-support NGOs. The Embassy counts around 220,000 Filipinos in Singapore, with no single federation but a quarterly Ugnayan town hall network coordinating the community.

A directory published on 4 October 2026 by community platform Filipinos in Singapore verified 52 Filipino associations and community groups active in 2025 or 2026, ranging from the long-standing Philippine Bayanihan Society Singapore to parish Filcoms, professional chapters, sports clubs and NGOs supporting domestic workers.

The Embassy estimates around 220,000 Filipinos live in Singapore, about 60 percent of them professionals and skilled workers. Rather than a single federation, coordination runs through the Embassy's Cultural and Filipino Community Relations Section and its FilCom database, with registered groups invited to quarterly Ugnayan town halls. The Philippine Embassy's press release confirms the 25 June 2026 session drew 65 to 70 community leaders and more than 13,000 Facebook Live views.

One notable change: the Philippine Bayanihan Society Singapore, a registered charity that ran the Bayanihan Centre at Pasir Panjang for 25 years, saw its lease end on 30 June 2026 and is now searching for a new permanent venue while keeping its calendar of events going, including its silver anniversary on 20 August 2026.

For Filipino professionals, the directory lists verified Singapore chapters of the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, the Institute of Computer Engineers of the Philippines, the United Architects of the Philippines and the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants, which spoke at the June 2026 Ugnayan about formalising its Singapore registration. The directory could not verify nurses', teachers', seafarers' or finance professionals' associations this year.

Kislap's inference: for Filipinos in Singapore or planning a move, the directory and the Embassy's FilCom database at phinsg.com offer a practical starting point for finding professional networks, welfare support and community events, with new groups able to register with the Embassy to join the Ugnayan network.
