The Gold Coast Philippine Festival 2026 is poised to be a highlight for the Filipino community in Australia, launching a new "3-Year Cultural Journey of the Philippines" this June. Set for Sunday, June 14, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Broadwater Parklands in Southport, Queensland, the festival promises a day filled with "pure Filipino joy" and is open to all for free.

This year marks the inaugural chapter of an ambitious cultural initiative, which aims to traverse the Philippines from its southern tip to northern peaks—Mindanao, Visayas, and Luzon—over three years. The journey begins with "Mindanao: The Land of Promise," dedicating the 2026 festival to the vibrant and diverse heritage of this southern Philippine island.

The celebration will respectfully highlight the "Tri-People" who form Mindanao's soul: the Moros, Lumads, and Settlers. Through compelling traditional dances and music, the festival will bring to one stage the distinct lived stories of these groups, honouring the strength and resilience of the Moros, the deep ancestral roots of the Lumads, and the evolving narratives of the Settlers.
