The film
The fan event comes two days after "Pee Mak", VIVA Films' Filipino version of the 2013 Thai horror-comedy, opened in cinemas across the UAE and Qatar on 29 October. The Philippine remake opened at home on 14 October.
VOX Cinemas UAE lists the film with a 29 October 2026 release date, in Tagalog with Arabic and English subtitles, at its Abu Dhabi Mall, Burjuman, City Centre Deira and City Centre Sharjah locations.
Directed by Victor Villanueva, the film stars Wilbert Ross as Mak, a soldier, and Bea Binene as Mak's wife. Aquino plays one of Mak's friends, a barkada that also includes Vandolph Quizon, TJ Valderrama and Cup of Joe vocalist Gian Bernardino, who makes his feature-film debut.
The original "Pee Mak", starring Mario Maurer and Davika Hoorne, retold Thailand's Mae Nak Phra Khanong ghost legend as a comedy and became Thailand's highest-grossing film. Aquino started acting as a child and is known for "Super Inggo", "Kung Fu Kids" and "Luv U".
