Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto depart for London for Always Yours, Never Mine screenings and meet-and-greets

The Star Cinema leads were scheduled to appear at special screenings and meet-and-greets at Genesis Cinema London on 31 October, the day the film was set to open in UK cinemas.

Filipino film stars Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto were scheduled to meet fans in London on Saturday, 31 October, at special screenings of their Star Cinema film "Always Yours, Never Mine". ABS-CBN News reported that the pair departed for London on Thursday, 29 October, for the international screening and meet-and-greet events, with the London screening event opening an overseas leg that continues in Madrid on 1 November.

According to ABS-CBN, the special screenings and meet-and-greet sessions are at the Genesis Cinema London at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. An AllEvents listing for the London premiere, organised by Pinoy Movies London, says the stars will be appearing live at all showtimes.

UK release from 31 October

ABS-CBN said in September that the film would be showing in UK and Austrian cinemas starting 31 October, after openings in the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Australia and New Zealand from 22 October and in the US, Canada and Guam from 23 October. Spain, France and Italy follow from 1 November.

Directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana, "Always Yours, Never Mine" is a romantic drama spanning three decades. It follows Apollo, played by Garcia, and Luna, played by Barretto, whose lives intersect at different points in time.

Meeting overseas Filipino fans

Before departing, Garcia reflected on reconnecting with overseas Filipino moviegoers and revisiting the United Kingdom, ABS-CBN News reported.

Asked what they hope audiences experience, Barretto emphasised bringing comfort to overseas fans, given the film's heavier narrative focus, ABS-CBN News reported. Describing the film's title in September, she said:

"[It's about] your willingness to give your heart to somebody else who can't give theirs back to you."
