Vigan and Filipiniana on show at MoN Takanawa in Tokyo until 6 November
The Philippines is featured in the second run of Minato City's “Markets Around the World” international cultural exhibition at the Museum of Narratives (MoN) Takanawa in Tokyo, with a Vigan market display and a Filipiniana collection on loan from a Tokyo University of Foreign Studies dance troupe. Entry is free until 6 November.
The Philippine Embassy in Japan participated in the second installment of the “Markets Around the World” Minato International Cultural Exhibition at the Museum of Narratives (MoN) Takanawa in Tokyo, the embassy announced on 29 October 2026. The exhibition runs from 25 October to 6 November 2026.
The display is part of the museum's special programme “Prayers and Festivals of the World,” a collaboration with the Takanawa District Festival 2026 that brings together traditional costumes from around the world and Japan along with a market, according to MoN Takanawa. The embassy said its participation celebrates Museums and Galleries Month in the Philippines this October.
