Check your visa conditions before plans change
Published
Reviewed · Next review
Find the conditions on your own visa and use INZ's guidance before changing work, study or travel plans.
Visa conditions describe what you can and cannot do. Different visas have different conditions, and you must meet all of yours. Read your eVisa, passport visa label or approval letter; Immigration New Zealand also provides a Visa Verification Service.
If work circumstances change, you may need a variation of conditions, a Job Change or a new work visa. Student and resident visas have their own guidance. Start from INZ's conditions page and select your visa type; do not assume another person's permission applies to you.
