About this business
Filipino World Travelers (FWT) is a Melbourne-based global community of purposeful Filipino travellers using world travel as a force for good. Founded in April 2023 by Melbourne travel author Dondon Bales, who leads it with co-leaders Luisa Yu and Abigail Friedrich, it connects members and affiliates in more than a dozen countries through meet-ups, travel photo and song reel contests, and shared travel milestones. Bales won Most Purposeful Traveller at the 2026 NomadMania Travel Awards in Bangkok for building FWT.
